Asiatic Lily Collection

Spicy shades of hot tropical colours make the Asiatic lilies in this collection--Red County, Patricia's Price and Orange Ton--perfect for your summer garden plans. Multiple, long-lasting flowers make them a favourite of landscape designers and cut-flower enthusiasts alike. Asiatics are both the earliest bloomers and easiest to care for of the lily family. The varieties in this collection all make wonderful companions for lower-growing flowers, and a bed of brightly coloured Asiatic lilies paired with poppies, white allysum or variegated hostas is a sight to see. Fill your garden and your vases with them!

This collection includes three of each of the following varieties:

  • Red County: Showy, fire-red flowers are ideal for adding pizzazz to back borders. Up-facing trumpet blooms measure 18 cm across. Sturdy stems and sweet fragrance make them great for cutting.
  • Netty's Pride: Statuesque beauties bear loads of white blooms generously emblazoned at their centre with a very dark purple that looks almost black. A sprinkling of deeply hued dots highlights the tips of the large petals. Showy flowers are vigorous growers that are equally at home in beds, borders and bouquets. An excellent addition to cutting gardens, where the lilies may be admired outdoors until they can be admired indoors. Butterflies love the upward-facing, 10-12 cm blooms.
  • Easy Dance: This fetching lily is a cool yellow at the ends of its petals and in the very centre of the bloom. In between is a ring of starkly contrasting, rich purple-maroon. Fairly compact, this plant spaces its blooms out very well so that they're not all gathered at the top. Blooms tend to be much more intensely coloured in cool conditions.
